China has been a country extremely fond of jadeite, and the use of the stone has began early on in its

history. We can see from many historical paintings Empress Dowager Cixi with her arms wearing

jadeite bangles, painted green in the artworks. From this, we can say that green is the most popular

color of jadeite jewelry. However, because jadeite is a treasure of nature, it is incredibly difficult to find

a large piece of it that is all green. A fully green jadeite bangle is the rarest of all jadeite pieces, as the

need for a large piece of jadeite to be green and flawless is nearly impossible. On top of that, to carve

out a bangle requires one to abandon much of the material that is of top quality. Therefore, compared

to jadeite cabochons or jadeite bead necklaces, jadeite bangles are the rarest of them all.

This lot presented here is an exceptional green jadeite color of great translucency. As mentioned

earlier, jadeite bangles are rare to come by, and this one in particular is even harder because of its

cylindrical round shape. It requires more material to be wasted when carving it out. This lot presented

here is a jadeite bangle of great shape, color, and translucency; an extremely elegant and noble piece

that is sought after by many collectors.

The mysterious and enchanting snake symbolizes the beauty, strength and rebirth in the Western world, and has become an

海螺珍珠，又名孔克珍珠（Conch Pearl），大

自然的鬼斧神工，非但不能透過人工養殖，更是

寥若晨星。它們來自產於加勒比海海域的大鳳螺

（Queen Conch），日本人稱它們為女王鳳凰螺。

平均每五萬隻大鳳螺中，只有一顆可用的海螺珍

珠，而當中僅有兩至三成符合製成珠寶首飾的標準

與質量。全球每年只有少於900顆海螺珍珠可以製

成璀璨的珠寶，戔戔之數，極其珍貴。

海螺珠色彩種類豐富：橙色，鮭肉色，棕色，黃

色，白色等皆不在少數，卻以最爲稀有的粉色聞

名。雖然與珍珠有著同樣的化學成分，海螺珠卻與

其他貝母珍珠有著截然不同的多晶結構。海螺珠中

的微晶體為呈纖維狀的棱柱晶體，垂直於其表面排

列。光綫經過表面纖維時出現閃爍的微光，這便是

Conch pearls, known as one of the most unique

and luxurious gems around the globe, produced

by the Queen Conch mollusks which live in

the warm tropical waters near the Caribbean.

Every single one is not merely natural, but as

well extraordinary. Just like this suite of conch

pearl and diamond jewelry resents, the finest

exemplars display a distinctive wave-like

‘flame’ with a creamy, flawless appearance

and unique shimmer. Unlike the nacreous

pearls, there is no method culturing these

gems. With the possibility of finding a conch

pearl being one in 50,000, and with less than

30% that the pearl will be gem quality, conch

pearls are considered very rare indeed.

Conch pearls come in a wide variety of

coulours: orange, salmon, brown, yellow,

white and many others, but the rarest of all is

pink. Although they are composed of same

chemical elements as pearls, conch pearls

have a different polycrystalline structure to

other pearls. The microcrystals in conch are

fibrous prisms arranged perpendicular to their

surface. When light goes through the fibres, a

shimmering light appears, creating the famous

’flame’ pattern.

The conch pearls in the pair of earrings are of

a sweet pink and high color saturation, with

a distinctive flame pattern. They are set with

diamonds and onyx for a modern look that

rare natural pearl ear pendant, which is mounted by the renowned Parisian jewelry

brand Boucheron. Since its establishment, Bucheron has been supplying prestigious

jewellery to royalty and nobility around the world. This pair of natural pearls,

accompanied with GIA and SSEF certificates, measures a generous 13.69 x 12.40 and

帕拉伊巴碧璽1989年發現于巴西東北角大西洋岸

Paraiba州，這種霓虹藍色的碧璽因產地而得名，不過該

The unusual blue-green Paraiba tourmaline was

first discovered in the Brazilian state of Paraiba in

1989. Now the “neon-bright ” paraiba tourmalines

are one of the most sought-after gems in the world.

These gems had an unusual vivid blue-green that

had never been seen before in any gemstone.

Paraiba tourmalines typically have “neon” colors

that are brighter than we find in Tourmalines without

copper. Analysis showed that this unique effect was

due to the presence of copper and manganese.

Although there are new finds of copper-bearing

tourmaline in Nigeria and Mozambique in 2001

and 2005, still, the paraiba tourmaline from Brazil

possess the most mesmerising vivid blue-green

color among them all.

Paraiba tourmaline is amongst best performed

semi-precious gemstones and has been setting

records in auctions in recent years, thus attracting

increasing interests from collectors all over the

world. The set of Paraiba presented in this auction

is set with crystal-clear and neon blue Paraiba,
