BRAND STORY
The brand name derives from Heracles (Greek: Ηρακλής), a great hero in ancient Greek
mythology, “HELIX” for short. As a hero in Greek mythology, he was the son of Zeus and
Alcmene. He had mighty strength as a child and was proficient in riding, archery, javelin,
swimming, fencing and other skills when he was 18, making him the bravest, most
handsome and intelligent hero in ancient Greece. The queen Hera was intolerant of his
descent and cursed him. To atone for his sin, he followed the advice of Aretê to be virtuous.
Besides, he finished 12 impossible missions, including catching Cerberus and rescuing
Prometheus who was punished on the grounds of stealing fire for the mankind. After his
death, Heracles rose into Mount Olympus, being appointed as Hercules by Zeus. He and
Hera buried the hatchet and married her daughter Hebe, the goddess of youth. Nowadays,
the giant constellation in the northern sky, Herakles, is the symbol of Heracles. The brand
HELIX not only inherits the great hero’s spirits of exploring, challenging, and improving
himself but also promotes the nobility and elegance of golf. In addition, it represents the
core concept and totem of its brand culture.
