There are conduit/cable gland entry points from either

side and the back of the fi xture, which enables this

product to satisfy many installation requirements, giving

the option to conceal wiring behind the fi xture or link them

together via their loop-in loop-out terminal.

The batt ens can be mounted either directly on the

surface, through the pre-drilled holes on the base of the

fi tt ing, or suspended via a hanging kit. The gear tray is can

LiFeP04 are at the forefront of batt ery technology, with a smaller footprint than

other batt ery types.

There is a long-life span, and can last up to ten times longer than traditional

batt ery types. The batt ery recharge rate is quicker than traditional types

too. The effi ciency of these batt eries extends into performance; charge and

discharge, which can reach over 90%, which means very litt le energy is wasted.

Regular tests need to be conducted on the emergency fittings to ensure they are still performing correctly.

The two tests which need to be conducted are for emergency light operation and the battery duration.

There are two methods of conducting this test, a manual test and a self-test.

Self-test vs. Manual test

The inspection frequency tests required are determined by EN 50172, which our products comply with. It should last as long as it is

needed to make the emergency light source turn on, so in case of our products, only a few seconds.

The battery duration test should be performed at least yearly. It should last for the rated battery duration, so for manual test

products, it has to be executed when there is a minimum risk for the occupants.

These are when the fittings are on all the time, like a

normal luminaire. These are mains powered and have a

battery backup, which keeps the lights on in the event

of a power failure. For example, the emergency blade is

maintained, so if for any reason there is a power failure the

emergency blade will stay lit using the battery backup.

These only turn on in the event of a power failure. There is

a set duration that the light will be live for, which depends

on the battery and product type. For instance, our escape

route emergency luminaire light remains off and only turns

on when the mains power goes down.

Maintained vs Non-maintained

A manual test can be performed locally by pressing the

product test button that forces the emergency luminaire

to go into emergency mode, or by switching off the mains.

The inspection is done in real-time, visually, by the

operator in charge of the test.

The self-test unit automatically performs numerous tests in

the background. Any failure is indicated by the LED, that

can start to blink or change its colour, depending on the

product type.

The inspection is done by visually checking the LED

indicator status.

Emergency options

Self-test is when the product has built in technology which facilitates an

automation of testing regimes. These sett ings can be confi gured to make sure

that tests happen in line with the requirements. Each self-test product has an

LED indicator that demonstrates the status of the specifi c product. The indicator

will change depending on whether a product is functioning well, or has failed.

For example, the emergency high bay is available in self-test, meaning once the

user has confi gurated the sett ings, the test will take place itself according to the

confi gurations.

LiFeP04 are at the forefront of batt ery technology, with a smaller footprint then

other batt ery types. There is a long-life span, and can last up to ten times longer

than traditional batt ery types The batt ery recharge rate is quicker than traditional

types too, due to the chemical composition of the batt ery, resulting in lower

resistance values. The effi ciency of these batt eries extends into performance;

charge and discharge, which can reach over 90%, which means very litt le

energy is wasted.

Long-life LiFeP04 batt ery

At the same time the high bay emergency version simplifi es the emergency

lighting systems wiring and installation and reduces costs, performing the routine

emergency light tests is specially challenging when the light fi xture is installed so

high from the ground. To mitigate this issue, our high bays are equipped with

self-test emergency units, that performs a complete set of components tests in

weekly basis, topped with batt ery duration tests each half-year.

The daylight harvesting feature controls the luminaire

light output, adjusting the signal accordingly with the

natural light.

Daylight harvesting

All functions are programmable by a user-friendly remote

controller. Settings can be configured from hold time,

to stand-by time, dim levels and more, without the need

to touch the product. One remote can be controlled for

multiple sensors.

The high bay sensor accessory maximises energy

savings in one single, fully programmable unit.

This makes it perfect for freezer

units, cold stores and hot stores.

High impact resistance ensures

The Springbok high bay is supplied with an M10 SS304

eyelet, meaning they can be surface mounted on a pot

hook, or on a chain allowing for flexible mounting heights.

They can also be pole mounted for a rigid install.
