In 2022, there were 32.51% of graduates working in 94 enterprises, which accounted for 18.80% of the world’s top 500

enterprises (according to Fortune in 2022).

In 2022, 239 students were enrolled as selected graduates or civil servants in 6 central ministries and commissions, such

as the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Commerce, and 28 provinces (municipalities or autonomous

regions) like Sichuan and Shaanxi.

Ⅶ Situation of Outbound Graduates

393 graduates have studied in 22 countries and areas throughout the world. Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania

dominated the distribution. Among these students, 293 were admitted by universities or colleges ranked in the top 100 in

2022 QS, representing 74.55% of the total, 3.52% more than the previous year. There were 337 graduates admitted by the TOP

200 QS-ranked universities or colleges, accounting for 85.75% of the total, which was 3.56% higher than the previous year.

Employment Analysis

Ⅰ Feedback of Graduates

In 2022, a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the employment of graduates. A total of 3,471 valid

questionnaires were collected from the 2022 graduates in 29 schools (departments or centers) through an online survey,

SMS, WeChat and other channels. Among them, there were 1,311 undergraduates, accounting for 37.77%, and 2,160

postgraduates, 62.23%. There were 2,157 males (62.14%), and 1,314 females (37.86%). The survey results showed that the

graduates had a relatively high level of overall satisfaction with their employment. Among them, 97.54% of graduates were

satisfied with the XJTU’s employment guidance service, and 96.96% were satisfied with the contracted job.

A sample survey was conducted in 6,049 employer units through questionnaires. Medical and health units accounted for

2.81%, scientific research and design units for 5.03%, government agencies and institutions for 4.02%, education units for

3.90%, troops for 0.18% and the rest of enterprises for 84.06%. 99.93% of employers were overall satisfied with the work

performance of XJTU graduates.

1. Job Applications of Graduates

(1) Time for Preparation of Getting Employment

2022 graduates had relatively enough time to prepare for getting employment. 71.17% of graduates took more than one year

to prepare, which was 2.23 % higher than that of last year.

(2) Channels for Getting Employment Information

The employment information for 2022 graduates came from a variety of channels. The primary channel was “recruitment

information issued by XJTU”, with a percentage of 83.42.

(3) Channels of Implementation

The highest percentage of graduates implementing job search pathways is through the recruitment information channel

issued by XJTU (38.83%), followed by direct application to the employer (26.98%).

2022 graduates mostly received three job offers (25.46%). The proportion of students getting three or more was 62.43%, with

an increase of 0.64% over last year.

2. Employment Quality of Graduates

(1) Professional Counterpart Situation of Graduates

A sample of 3,212 graduates who signed up for employment was surveyed. Among them, 86.56% of the graduates believed

that their jobs were related to or highly related to their majors. The mean of the correlation measure was 3.81 on a five-point

scale, tending to be “relatively related” to their jobs.

(2) Degree of Graduates’ Satisfaction

Graduates’ overall satisfaction with employment was high, with 96.96% satisfaction with the jobs they signed. The mean of

satisfaction was 3.84 on a five-point scale, with employees tending to be “relatively satisfied” with their jobs.

Graduates’ satisfaction with XJTU’s employment guidance service was 97.54%, an increase of 0.11% over last year.

(3) Situation about Outbound Graduates for Study

Among the 99 graduates who went abroad for further study, 50% gained three or more offers, an increase of 1.73% over last

year, and 100% studied in the majors related to the original. All graduates sustained the focus on the original or the relevant

major, up by 4.82% over last year.

Ⅱ Feedback of Employer Units

In terms of professional basic knowledge, active learning ability, and other aspects, a sample survey conducted in 6,049

employer units showed that their overall satisfaction with students’ work performance was as high as 99.93%. The survey

was conducted on 13 dimensions, such as basic knowledge, complex problem-solving ability, English application ability,

organization and management ability, and active learning ability. The employer’s satisfaction with the performance of our

graduates was more than 99.80%.
