整体硬质合金螺旋刀具的切削质量来自于材料选用与合理的刀口设计,由于新一代的加工

中心兴起,主轴电机的回转速已达到24,000rpm,进给速度也可以到达18米/min,因此对

于刀具的选用必须考虑到加工参数是否与刀具性能相互匹配。

This tool decreases the obstruction which is generated by the large contact area between the flute and

the parts with the spiral flute design. It not only can do the high-speed machining but also increase the

efficiency of the working process. Compare to the straight flute, the lifetime is longer and suitable for

harder materials.

Spiral Flute/螺旋铣刀

The cutting quality of solid carbide spiral tools comes from material selection and reasonable edge

design. Due to the rise of a new generation of machining centers, the rotation speed of the spindle

motor has reached 24,000rpm, and the feed speed can also reach 18m/min. The selection of the tool

must take into account whether the machining parameters and the tool performance match each other.

The large contact area between the flute and the parts, it would produce bigger friction and

obstruction during cutting which cause the flute to break. Compare to the spiral flute tool, its lifetime

is shorter and suitable for softer materials.

Straight Flute /直刀

刀具刃口以直刀刃方式设计,由於切削时刀刃与加工物的接触面大,会有较大的摩擦

阻力产生而使刀刃容易磨损。其使用寿命相对於螺旋刀是较短的,适用於切削较软的

材质。

其螺旋刀刃的设计可降低切削时与加工物接触而产生的阻力,除了可做高速切削外,

更可提高加工效率。相对於直刀,其使用寿命较直刀长,适合切削较硬的材质。

其刀刃为平滑的设计,切削结果为细致平滑,可适用于各种要求表面细致度的加工。

其刀刃为波形设计,加工时会有细纹产生,切削结果较端铣刀粗糙,多用于不强调细

致度的加工作业,一般会有2次加工的动作。粗铣刀不适用于低进给速度。

其刀刃为锯齿状设计,用意在将切削时产生的木屑,切断为更小的碎片,此举可减少

切削时的能量耗费及刀具的摆动,同时更利于木屑的排出。在刀具没有偏移摆动的状

态下,可一次完成粗铣及细致的加工动作。一般建议使用于高进给速度,要切削硬木

或密度高的材质时使用此刀具。是介于端铣刀及粗铣刀之间的良好折衷刀具。

Up-Cut Spirals/上旋刀

The \"up-cut spiral\" means a right hand

spiral with a right hand rotation of cut. It

will make the chips \"coiled up\"” during

cutting. It is very useful for slotting cuts

or where is not easy to remove the chip.

The tool will “lift” the processed part up

in some situations. It may require

additional holding power or finish cutting

depths by several steps.

This tool will leave a smooth cutting

result on the bottom of a through cut.

Nevertheless it might leave some ragged

edge on the top edge on some special

certain materials.

Up-cut spiral tools can be used for

straight plunge or drill, but it will cause

bits to break easily, We suggest you to use

the diagonal plunge to start the cut.

所谓「上旋刀」指的是「右」旋切割结

合「右」螺旋沟槽。上旋刀会使木屑在

切削时,螺旋地向上排出,这在铣沟或

不易排屑的状况下特别有用。上旋刀在

某些状况下,切削时会有将加工物上扯

的情形。可能会需要额外的固定装置或

需分阶段来完成切削深度。

上旋刀做穿透式的切削时,在加工物底

部的切削效果会是细致平滑的。而在切

割某些特定材质时,则容易在加工物的

顶部出现粗糙的毛边。

上旋刀可做直接垂直向下的进刀或钻孔

的动作,但垂直进刀容易出现崩刃的现

象,较不建议采用。我们建议采斜线轨

迹进刀,斜线轨迹进刀方式是逐渐加大

轴向切深运动到设定的轴向切深值,铣

削力是逐渐加大的,因此对刀具和主轴

的冲击比垂直下刀小,可明显减少下刀

崩刃的现象。

A compression spiral is designed with both

up-cut and down-cut flutes. This design can

prevent chipping or fuzz on both top and

bottom of the cut.

Compression spirals are used extensively for

cutting double sided laminates, but can be

used on natural woods where edge fuzz is a

problem.

复合式螺旋刀是结合了上旋刀刃和下旋

刀刃于同一之刀具上。上、下刃同时切

削可压缩加工物以避免加工件的顶部或

底部有碎屑或毛边的产生。

Down-Cut Spirals/下旋刀

On the contrary, the \"down-cut spiral\" is

right hand cut with a left hand spiral. It

causes the chip flow to be directed

downward. It also helps fasten the

processed part being cut down. The

working result is smooth on the top and

fuzzy on the bottom.

Sometimes the downward chip flow may

cause jammed problems especially in a

blind slotting situation. Down-cut bits

tend to preload the routing system that can

mainly improve the part stability during a

marginal routing setup.

Down-cut bits cannot be used to plunge

straight into the processed part as it will

cause broken bits or jammed chip.

「 下 旋 刀 」 则 指 「 右 」 旋 切 割 结 合

「左」螺旋沟槽,它是将木屑由加工物

底部排出。下旋的切削方式可在切割同

时帮助加工物的固定。其切削结果与上

旋刀相反,顶部为细致平滑,底部则有

粗糙的毛状边缘。

向下排屑有时候会造成阻塞的问题,特

别是在隐蔽式铣槽的状况下。

下旋刀在使用上倾向于事先完成加工物

的裁切,此举可大幅增进下旋刀进行修

边加工时的稳定度。 下旋刀较不适用

于垂直向下进刀的方式,此举易造成断

刀或阻屑的问题。

There are many characteristics of high-speed machining (HSM). Generally, it processes the work pieces by

delaminating and encircling. If you process the work pieces in the same direction, the tool’s lifetime will be longer, in

others words, the lifetime will be shortest when you use it back and forth.

1.Straight Plunge is vertically pierce through the work pieces that will cause bits breakage easily, you should avoid this

way.

2.Diagonal Plunge is to go deep into the work pieces gradually until reaching the set depth. cutting strength increases bit

by bit, the momentum to the tool and the spindle will be smaller than straight plunge, and therefore it lowers the chance

of bit breakage in the beginning.

3.Turbinate Plunge starts the cutting from the top of the work piece and then spiral downward. As the continual working

processes, it can be easier to ensure the precision of the cutting result. In addition, because there is no sudden change of

the speed, it is able to perform at a higher speed. Turbinate plunge is most suitable for irregular shape or 3D working

process.

4.Margin Plunge is a 2-steps plunge, 1st step is to move the cutting tool downward and the tool doesn’t touch the work

pieces at this time. 2nd step is to horizontally move the cutting tool to cut the work piece. That can avoid the straight

plunge; also, to code a margin plunge program is much easier than a diagonal plunge one on a CNC machine.

加工中心CNC的进刀方式是经验与刀具特性的累积艺术在高速切削的加工方式有许多特点,原则上采分层环切加工,顺

铣加工刀具寿命较长,而来回往返铣方式刀具寿命最低。

常见的进刀方式有下面几种:

1.直接垂直向下进刀较易出现崩刃现象,较不宜采用。

2.斜线轨迹进刀方式是逐渐加大轴像切深运动到设定的轴向切深值,铣削力是逐渐加大的,因此对刀具和主轴的冲击比

垂直下刀小,可明显减少下刀崩刃的现象。

3.螺旋式轨迹进刀是从工件上方开始,螺旋向下切入。由于采用连续加工的方式可以较易保证加工精度,且由于没有速

度突变,可使用较高的速度进行加工。螺旋进刀最适合不规则形状及型腔(3D)高速加工的需要。

4.边缘进刀是一种两段式的进刀方式,刀子向下时并不接触加工物,然后以横向方式进刀,以避免垂直进刀的发生。另

外在CNC机器上,边缘进刀的计算机程序相对的比斜线轨迹进刀程序容易编写。

• 一定要使用合适尺寸的夹套,因为磨损严重、不

够圆及内孔带有锥度的夹套不能提供足够的夹紧

力,而导致振动或扭断刀柄而飞脱。

• 千万不要以为新夹套一定是安全可靠。当刀具装

夹后发现刀具柄部有不均匀的接触痕迹或有凹槽

时,说明有滑移情况及夹套内孔变形,这时应立

即更换夹套,以免发生意外。

• 刀具装夹好后,如发现刀具有工作时出现跳动现

象,应立即停机,重复装夹几次,让刀具柄部与

夹套得到充分的接触,再进行工作。

• 刀具柄部与夹套的接触应良好,刀具柄部一定要

完全插入夹套中,上紧牢固,这样才能对刀具提

供足够的夹紧力。不能只有小部分插入夹套中,

否则易造成刀柄断裂而导致刀具损坏。

• 夹套中有积碳,积灰时应即

时清除干净,避免夹持不

断刀柄而飞脱。

影响加工过程中的进刀速度的因素有很多,主要表现在机

械精密度,马力(主轴功率),夹持系统.....,可能每个企业

在刀具使用过程中也会遇到不同的实际情况。

There are so many factors affect the feed speed, such

as the precision of machines, horsepower, clamping

system and so on. Maybe each company will meet

different situations in using the solid carbide spiral bits.

Precautions/操作注意事项

• 同木料其切削速度对于刀具的使用寿命及木件的

加工质量很重要,合理的切削用量使加工更轻

快、更好、更安全。

• 一般木料可选用高速切削,较硬的木料及刃径较

大的刀具最好选用低速切削并减缓推进速度。推

进速度应平均,不得时快时慢,推进时应平稳。

如果在切削过程中有停留,则会烧刀燬具及大大

降低刀具的使用寿命。

• 切削速度取决于以下三方面:

1、木料的材质

2、刀具的种类及规格

3、设备

• 如果使用较大直径的刀具,可经几次进给来完成

加工,这样更能提高刀具的使用寿命以及操作更

安全,大直径的刀具通常使用高质量的台式设

备。

Choose the right amount of cutting/

选择合适的切削量

• Be sure to use the appropriate size of the jacket, because the

serious wear, the lack of roundness and the inner hole of the

tapered jacket can not provide enough clamping force,

resulting in vibration or twisting the handle and flying of f.

• Never assume that the new jacket must be safe and reliable.

When the tool handle is found to have uneven contact marks

or grooves after the tool is clamped, it indicates that there is

slippage and the inner hole of the jacket is deformed. At this

time, the jacket should be replaced immediately to avoid

accidental accidents.

• After the tool is clamped, if the tool is found to be bounced

when it is working, stop it immediately and repeat the

clamping several times so that the tool shank and the jacket

are in full contact before proceeding to work.

• The contact between the tool shank and the jacket should be

good. The tool shank must be completely inserted into the

jacket and tightened firmly, so as to provide sufficient

clamping force to the tool. Do not insert only a small part into

the jacket, otherwise it is easy to cause the tool handle to

break and cause the tool to be damaged.

• There is carbon deposits in the jacket, and the dust should be

removed immediately to avoid the tool vibration or the

twisting of the tool handle and flying off due to inaccurate

clamping.

• The cutting speed of different wood materials is very

important to the service life of the tool and the processing

quality of the wood parts. A reasonable cutting amount makes

the processing lighter, better and safer.

• Generally, high-speed cutting can be used for wood materials,

and it is better to use low-speed cutting for harder wood and

tools with larger blade diameters and slow down the

advancing speed. The advancing speed should be even, not

fast or slow, and steady when advancing. If there is a stay in

the cutting process, the tool will be burned and the service life

of the tool will be greatly reduced.

• The cutting speed depends on the following three aspects:

1. The material of the wood

2. The types and specifications of the tools:

• If a larger diameter tool is used, the machining can be

completed by several feeds, which can improve the service

life of the tool and make the operation safer. Large diameter

tools usually use high-quality desktop equipment

Burn mark on the cutter edge: the cutter edge wear and tear or it was temporary

stopping on the process of feeding, it will arise burn mark on the cutting surface

because of the heat.

Passivation and stability of cutters: when the cutters is working, the knives will

generate heat by friction at the point which

has contacted with cutters teeth, the heat of

teeth radiate to the cutters in the form of

thermal conduction, then loss heat through

radiation to all around. Cutters temperature

rises means knives temperature rises, this will

raise the passivation speed of cutters,besides , cutters temperature can not distribute

uniformly,this will make the cutters lose their

original stability

Easy to cause it tearing out the wood:

because the machined wood are quite solid,

when using the straight cutters, the area of

thrust surface is big in the unit interval, this

will easy to cause the wood out of shape in

the cutting process, it will also leave a large

and bad mark on the wood, all these situation

lead to the machined wood can not meet the

demand of smoothness.

Bad chip

removal: the chip is bigger after

cut by straight cutters, the chip which is too

large can not be removed immediately in dust

collection system. These chip will affect the

processing quality of wood.

Reducing the hardness of solid carbide:

when the knives are welded into the straight

cutters at high temperature,it will reduce the hardness of solid carbide and make the hardness below HRA92°, reducing the

使用者工作流程比较

通常企业管理者都会对生产流程中的各个

环节进行量化的评估,从大处说就是订单

到销售的所有环节,有效的整合是优秀企

业高产能的保证;从细处说可能就体现在

每一工序或者说每一位执行者的工作流程

了,例如我们就以一位普通刨削工作人员

的加工流程做一个比较:

1.加工任务:接到某项红木或其它硬木订

单,在整个制造过程中,刨削组工序仅

占时间周期较小的一段。

2.对硬木进行评估:由於天然木材的唯一

性,不可能所有的硬木在硬度、湿度上

统一,因此需要具有一定经验的使用者

对其做初步评估。

3.订制适合刀头:通常在得出初步评估

后,就是调换适合使用的刀头了;但事

实上木加工企业无法长备各种刨削规格

的刀头,更因为传统平刀头的刀片为焊

接式,因此大多数需要从刀具厂家订

制,从订制到加工到运输,实际操作上

的不确定性,往往成为现代化企业生产

力提升的瓶颈,也加大了工序量化管理

的难度

4.安装调适:新的刀头就位后,一定是对

紧固夹具的安装调整了,也就是通常我

们说的,新组件的磨合,在一定的磨合

后,才能正常使用。

5.正常加工:正常加工与后序工艺衔接。

使用传统平刀头刨削加工

使用可调式螺旋刀头刨削加工

1.加工任务:同上。

2.对刀头进行调整:严格的说也需要对加

工的硬木进行评估,但由於螺旋刀头以小

接触点的刨削设计,其设计的预设强度与

加工范围远远大於需求,因此可以直接由

普通的使用者对刀头进行调整。

3.正常加工:由於仅仅在本刀具上调整,

也就不存在安装调试以及夹具的磨合了,

因此很快投入生产加工。

The manager usually evaluates the operation

workflow for all process numerically. Simply

speaking that is all operation process from

purchase order to marketing. Effective

a comparison of a normal planing worker for

example.

Processing by traditional planing cutterhead

1.Processing mission: When we receive the

order of mahogany or other hard wood, the

planning is few percent of the all process

time cycle.

2.Make a evaluation for hard wood: due to

the uniqueness of natural wood, all hard

wood are impossible to be same as

hardness and humidity. It need to make a

evaluation by experienced user.

3.Make suitable cutterhead: Usually after

essential evaluation, we need to replace

suitable cutterhead. But in fact, wood

factory can not prepare all kinds of planing

cutterhead. Another reason is that

traditional planing cutterhead is welded, it

need to make to order from cutter

manufacturer mostly. Order, processing,

transportation and uncertainty of actual

operation will be the bottlenecks to raise

productivity and limit the production

management numerically.

4.Install and adjust: After a new cutter ready,

it must be adjusted to the fixed clamp.

Briefly speaking, new parts should be used

normally after run-in period.

5.Normal process : It connects with normal

and follow-up process.

Process with adjustable spiral cutterhead

1.Process mission :as above.

2.Adjust cutterhead: Strictly speaking, it

should be evaluated with processed hard

wood, but due to the design to small

planing contact, the default strength and

processing range are over demand. The

cutterhead could be adjusted by general

user.

3.Normal process: It does not exist the

problems of wearing and adjustment of

clamp because you just need to adjust

cutterhead. It will involved in production

soon.

Processing quality characteristics of helical cutterhead:

No matter what kind of helical cutterhead, because its own design structure is

a cutting structure formed by the butt joint of the blades, there will always be

The maximum RPM of a circular sawblade varies in basis to

the diameter of the blade itself (table 1). If it exceeds this limit,

the sawblade will lose its characteristics, therefore influencing

the cutting quality and the work life of the blade itself.

The sawblade’s projection (T) compare to the workpiece must

be higher than height of the blade’s tooth (fig. 1). Increase or

decrease the projection of the sawblade can improve the quality

of the cutting effect.

The number of teeth cutting (teeth cutting the wood in a unit

time- fig. 2) must be between 3 or 4.

With less than three teeth

cutting, the sawblade begins to vibrate and leads to an uneven

cut. If you want to cut workpiece with increased thickness(S -

fig. 3), but wish to maintain the same diameter, then use a

blade with less teeth. If instead you want to cut workpiece with

a reduced thickness, but also maintain the same diameter, then

use a blade with more teeth.

To obtain the pitch (P) of a blade (the distance between teeth: fig. 3 - see formula

“a”) multiply the thickness of the workpiece by 1.4142 and divide by 3 (if you

want 3 teeth cutting) or by 4 (if you want 4 teeth cutting).

Formula “b”: to obtain the number of teeth (Z) of the sawblade, multiply the

diameter (D) of the sawblade by 3.14 and divide by the pitch of the sawblade -

obtained from the previous formula. The shorter formula “c” allows you to obtain

the nr. Of the sawblade’s teeth, knowing its diameter and the thickness of the

blade if the following

situation happened:

1、硬质合金圆锯片的合金刀头具有锋利

且坚硬的刃口,因此在锯片的搬移、

安装或拆卸过程中,必须小心保护合

金刀头避免受到损坏。

2、检查木工机械的主轴有无变形、振

动,轴心偏摆等重要参数,避免不稳

定的机械影响切削质量,并定期检查

机器主轴的径向跳动(±0.02mm),以

及偏摆幅度(±0.0lmm)。

3、操作人员必须配戴防护眼镜,并於木

工机械上加装保护罩。

4、锯片、主轴及法兰盘上的木屑必须清

除干净,避免不当的误差影响切削质

量。

5、法兰盘大小为锯片直径的1/3(多片

锯宜采用1/2的法兰盘)锯切效果更

佳(特别是薄型锯片),使锯片的运

转 更 加 平 稳 , 在 特 殊 情 况 下 ,

LIHSING建议使用者根据LIHSING外

包装及机体上雷射字样所示的转速及

进料速度进行合理的切削作业。

It’s very important to resharpen your saw

blade in time. A blunt saw blade will make

bigger resistance when working, which

make itself vibrated and increase the load

of the motor, as a result both the saw blade

and the motor will be mor e e a sily

damaged. So if you keep using a blunt

sawblade, you get extra 50% damage on it

when you increase 10% more cutting, that

will lower the service life of the saw

blade.

Resin and chip that on the side of the saw

blade tips must be regularly cleaned, to

avoid larger resistance, high energy

consumption (which will damage the

motor in some way), and bad cutting

quality. It will damage the sawtooth if the

sawtooth were blunt with remain resin

and chip.

The characteristic of drilling: Generally, drill have two main

teeth, when the drill is working, it is rotating and drilling at

the same time. The front angle of drill is bigger and bigger

from the central axis to outer edge, more closer to the outer

edge, the drilling speed will become higher. Horizontal edge

of the drill is near the rotating central axis, the assisted front

angle of the horizontal edge is large and have no space to

hold the chips, and the drilling speed is low. So it will cause

a large longitudinal resistance. If reshape the horizontal edge

to be shape as “R”, that make the drilling edge which near

the central axis to be a positive rake angle, then it will reduce

the drilling resistance and improve the drilling capability

greatly.

Cutting and removing of the chips: when woodworking drills

drilling in the narrow hole, chips have to remove from its

spiral groove, so the drilling feature will greatly affect the

drilling capability. When the drilling feature is not suitable, it

will cause the followed problems:

(1)The little chips block the spiral groove of the drills, it will

lower the drilling accuracy and the service life of the

drill, and even wreck the drill if happened to be the

powder chips and fanshaped chips.

(2)Over-heat in drill will burn the processed hold to black.

When this happen we could change the chip remove way

of the spiral groove to get a good drilling effort.

Drilling accuracy: the accuracy of drilling is decided by the

size of the hole, the position accuracy, the axiality,

roundness, material surface and the rough selvedge.

The factors that influenced the precision of the processed

hole:

(1)The holding of the drill like chuck; and the drilling
